Palm Sunday

Today the kids were part of the palm Sunday parade. Max was really into it, he was happy and proud to be doing the song and walking around the church with the other kids. I love seeing him late up with pride when he does these things.

Budding artist

My little budding artist did this for her first grade teacher. Her teacher loves owls, so she decided she would paint her out on a rock. I was honestly quite impressed with this image. Pinning a rock to look like something is not easy.

St. Patrick's day

Ellie has had a fascination with catching a leprechaun early age thanks to a book we read her. She has become fascinated with actually seeing a leprechaun to such an extent that today she told me she wasn't wearing green on St. Patrick's Day this year because in fact she want a leprechaun to pinch her so she can catch him.

When I looked at her with amazement she looked at me with the biggest naughtiest wide eyed red Cheek grin I have ever seen!

That Ellie, she is always thinking. A new way of trying to beat the leprechaun after years of failure.

My busy little bee

Tonight after dinner this is what Clair spent 10 minutes doing over and over again - crawling through her barstool chair.

She is one busy girl who isn't easily distracted or dissuaded from things.

The big thaw

After a very cold winter and a month of white stuff on the ground, temperatures have finally gone above freezing and the kids are really enjoying their time outside again. We've been coupes up inside too long!

Sunday Ellie had her kindergarten best buddies around to play in the snow. Their favorite activity turned out to be playing in the snow pile and the associated large and growing puddle! They were not being girlie girls and it was cute!

Monday evening Max and I enjoyed an after dinner walk around the neighborhood and he put on his boots to enjoy the puddles fully! He had a lot if fun running through the puddles and making a mess!

I need to get Clair some puddle humping boots!

Ellie's first sleepover

Last night I finally gave in and let Ellie spend the night at her friend Mckennas house. She took a walkie talkie with her and called us a few times on it. She had a blast.

I picked her up in the morning. This is a picture of what I brought home. I had to wash her hair 3 times to get that pink out!

She made it unt about 430 before a melt down. She was exhausted when I out her to bed tonight.

Sports Camp at four

Max and I did the sports camp through the rec greater again this spring. We had a lot of fun together again. I do think I might enjoy sports more than him. I do keep hoping that will change and that he will find one of the sports he truly loves.

We did soccer, T-ball, and basketball. I think we had the most fun with basketball because there was a little bit of competition where we would try to steal the ball from each other dribbling, and Max thought that was hilarious.

The last thing we did on the final day was a scooter race. The coaches brought out these little scooters and the kids were also very excited. Half of the kids had said they have them at home. Max had never had the pleasure of riding a scooter, but when he got on it, boy did he take off. This we have discovered is his sport!

He was better than all the other kids anyone the race! Ellie was very proud of him and cheering him on from the sides. She even got mad when another little boy tried to cheat.
