A little bit of freshening of the house

Over the years, it posted often about how hard it is to get rid of the lovely artwork and treasures. The kids have made me over the years. I love this stuff and I tend to hang it everywhere and never want to take it down. I’ve noticed some stuff has been hanging so long that it is literally degrading while hanging on the walls or the doors.

I started painting the hallway during this time away from work, and as part of it, I am finding that I want a cleaner fresher look. Yesterday I started taking some stuff down. I’ve cleaned off a couple doors. I want to empty our bedroom door as well. This has been hanging in her door for years and I love it. Clair made it as a Christmas decoration a few years ago. I’ve kept it up year-round for many years.

It’s coming down and going in the special bin that I tell myself I will look through at some point and smile.

Ellie to try track at the school

We’ve been worried about Ellie not doing anything physical or being involved in anything outside the house since quitting jujitsu. We decided that she had to try one of the high school sports this spring. Her silly self picked track. We got her all set and ready to go and she went to the first track tryouts/ practice on Friday.

Unfortunately, it was a rough go for her. Her ankle really gave her a hard time and she felt that she wasn’t up for it compared to the others that were there. She was very sad after practice and that made me very sad.

We are not sure how to help her, but we are going back to the doctors office to have him look at her ankle again on Monday. I hate that she suffers so much with his ankle over the years. I want to help her figure it out so that she’s not suffering for the rest of our life with it.

Why is fixing annoying bone issues so hard?
