Tonight Ellie helped me go grocery shopping and we had fun together. When we got home and I was giving her her bath, Max came in. He was excited to see us both after we returned. He ran over and gave Ellie and hug. She hugged him back. She said to me, "Max and I need a date Mommy." I laughed to myself a bit and asked, "What will you do on your date?" Ellie responds, "We'll go to the play ground and play together." Then she follows up with explaining how they will wait until they are a bit older before going out by themselves for their date.
How cute! The innocence and watching the connecting of concepts is so fun! Ellie loves her brother very much and loves spending time with him. As they are learning to play together they are really learning to appreciate one another. I hope that they are able to keep this up. I regret I didn't enjoy my siblings and get along with them as well as most. Siblings can be best friends and I wish this for them!
That's really very sweet. It's lovely to see how fond they are of each other. Well done you for doing such a good mothering job! Your blogs are great, Julie, I don't feel nearly so much of an exile when you keep us up to date with so many of these little details of life. x x x
