Sick Day again

Today I spent the day with Ellie and Max, at home, both sick. They are not terribly sick, but having the colds, coughs, etc. again. Max is actually really acting like he's in a lot of pain. It's a little frustrating.

The day started with a trip to the doctor's where we saw our faborite doctor - Dr. Clarence. I think she really loves my kids, which makes me feel special. She told Ellie she had a beautiful voice and asked her to sing her another song (she had been hearing her from next door when she was in with another patient.) She told me she can hold a tune so well. Dr. Clarence also commented again on Max's wonderful smile and demeanor. She even kissed him on his head. It feels good when the pediatrician seems to think my kids are as special as I think they are!

We followed this with a direct stop at the Starbucks for a 4 shot Latte for Mommy - since I was up about half the night with Max. Ellie gets a little treat when I go to Starbucks. So it's always a pleasant outing. Max was patient enough, which is all we could ask for.

When we got home, Max refused more sleep but rested while Ellie watched the Circus video and I did a few quick things around the house.

I didn't get much work done today, which I need to get to now. And, although it wasn't fun and games today, I am still thankful I got to be home with them today!
