Today we finally were able to have Ellie try her first dance class. I must say that I think she fits right in and it's a place we definitely need to return to.
There were four other girls. At first Ellie was shy and I needed to help her do the exercises, but after about 5 minutes, she started to be brave and do them on her own while I sat on the side. I was really proud of her!
Here are a few photos from the day:
Ellie's all ready for her first class. She insisted on the Tutu over top. I was going to let her go just in the leatard. Good thing I didn't, apparently Ellie knew the right way to wear it!
Ellie did great at her first round of exercises!
The teacher encourages them to admire themselves in the mirror. This is right up Ellie's Alley!
They even got to dance with wands!
Jumping exercises were fun... except I think Ellie needs some ballet shoes!
This was Ellie's first Grande Jantee! Miss Megan teaches the kids French while dancing - including counting and the music speeds like Allegro!
She had a lot of fun. All the other girls were in "Dress up" like her, and she was admiring one girl, Lola's, tu-tu aLOT! When we were leaving the parking lot, she was yelling " Bye Lola!"
I think she had a good time and we will try to sign up for the summer session which starts in a few weeks!
