Painting by Ellie

We got Ellie an easel from us for Christmas last year (2009). She has had a lot of fun painting on it over the year or so. At Christmas in 2010, we put it in the basement and she hasn't gotten to paint at home for about 6 months. Tonight I finally indulged her creative side and she painted the below masterpiece.

I was quite impressed with the use of shapes and seperate colors. This is quite a change from the way the colors would get smeared together to make an new shade of brown for each of her older paintings! I was also impressed at her use of the full paper. She even discussed that when you mix blue and red together you get purple!

My Ellie girl sure loves the arts!
