Ellie asks a lot of questions. She puts things together in her head and follows up with more questions.
Tonight, while having dinner with Aunt Katie, Erika and Amy, she asks, "If Granddaddy is your Daddy and Gramma is your Mommy, then why aren't they married?"
I was standing at the kitchen sink so I was silent for a minute. Katie responded quite matter of fact, "They were married once." That seemed to be enough for the time being, but I know there is more coming.
