I have been waiting for Max to say the words Mamma with great anticipation for about 6 months now... (yes, perhaps that was a bit early). With the speach delays we have been focused to by the doctors, I think I anticipated it more with Max then I did with Ellie. Well, last week, I can't remember the first day or moment unfortunately, he started using the word. It was so exciting for me to hear him say that and look at me. When I pick him up, he will smile and sometimes lean his head and body into me! I love hims so much. As for the word Mamma, he's on a roll and he hasn't stopped!
I think Max's definition of the word Mamma is something along the lines of "object of my immediate wish." He will just go on and on "Mamma. Mamma. Mamma. Mamma. Mamma." until he gets what he wants. Sometimes, it's me. Other times, it's a toy. Sometimes a bottle or pacifier or even Daddy. It's quite cute.
Although he may overuse the word a bit these next few weeks, I still love it so much!
