Every night before I get in bed I check on each kid. I usually check their heads to assure they are not too hot or cold. Then I give them a kiss. For Ellie, becuase she's now accessible in her big girl bed without a rail, I will kiss her head or head once sometime. I always tell her that I love her before I leave, even though she is sleeping.
Everyone once in a while she stirs and wakes enough that after I tell her "I love you my girl." She will repeat back, "I love to you."
Last night, I was tucking her in and she was still clutching her nightly tissue. As I helped her get situated with a missing blanky bear, I suggested she hand over the clutched and warn tissue for the trash. She did without any concern. I thought that was the end of it, as she was asleep. She looks up and says, "Mommy, I need a new tissue please."
I give her a tissue, she scrunches it up in her hand and roles back over to go back to sleep. Silly Ellie Bean.... a.k.a. Tissue Queen
