Spring sports are here

Well, mid March brings the start of spring sports. Things are a little different this spring. We weren’t able to get our typical LRC softball team together for Ellie‘s age, so we’re playing over in Urbana which is very different for us. I’m glad that we were able to work it out to have a team, and I really enjoy the new team and the new parents that are helping out. But it is very different. I miss our wonderful field and it’s not quite the same as coaching on the field that I played softball when I grew up.

The others twist the season brought us is David and I ended up volunteering to coach Max is rec soccer team. They didn’t have a lot of luck getting a parent to step up and coach. Needless to say David and I are not the most qualified, but we were willing. So six days a week, I’m coaching.

Clair is playing soccer. Mostly, David will be taking care of her soccer because it conflicts with softball. I haven’t yet seen her play but I heard her second practice was better than her first. I just hope she enjoys her self.
